After a poor treatment is when Perfect Leaf Management state certified licensed technicians are called to fix the problem (see image). After de-weeding ten different species of weeds, core aerating before the Fall, and perimeter pest control with our signature Fall fertilizer this lawn was made healthy.

Weeds primarily source of survival is feeding from the nutrients in soil. They reproduce by dispensing their seeds continuously throughout the lawn the entire year. The weeds on the surface of your lawn are just the beginning; their seeds are germinating in the soil beneath. In the soil, contained in a ball, are seeds. Each mature weed can dispense eight or more of it seeds.

Perfect Leaf Management state certified technicians apply our signature proactive environmentally smart prevention applications before weed seeds begin to germinate. There four critical times of the year. We strongly recommend treating your yard to prevent weeds. In most cases, one treatment is required to prevent weeds and it may require as many as seven to get rid of weeds already established. Killing weeds in their germination stage is the best way to maintain a healthy and vibrant yard. If your objective is to remain within budget please don't miss these four Perfect Leaf Management "critical weed prevention" treatments. Please view our weed control list below and the amount of applications necessary to get rid of weeds.
Weed seeds are often transported from lawn to lawn by lawn mowers, bottom of lawn crew shoes and other lawn equipment. Homeowners and uncertified lawn care companies often encourage weed growth by misidentifying the weed.

Applying the wrong type of weed control, applying the wrong amount of weed control and applying weed control at the wrong time of the year, makes weeds resistant to treatment and extremely difficult to kill. The words “weed control” is often misused and used to scare customers. Most unlicensed lawn care companies don't have the slightest clue about weeds.
There are over three hundred and fifty-seven different types of weeds (see list below). Every species of weeds has its own independent control formula. Treating a weed that doesn’t exist in the lawn threatens our environment and is just as harmful as deliberately opening a bottle of herbicide and pouring it on the ground. The weeds in the lawn remain and the lawn is damaged by unnecessary herbicides. When the homeowner realizes they have been manipulated by the lawn care company and weeds persist they may resist all treatment for weeds (see image).

Preventing weeds will reduce mowing. But please don't stop mowing. Often customers are amazed at our results and begin to rely too heavily on lawn treatment. If we notice a lengthy cut back in mowing, you will receive a “Please Mow Your Lawn” reminder as a courtesy. Perfect Leaf Management is an environmentally proactively smart company. Mowing your lawn properly will help naturally smother and kill weeds.
Once you enter our program weeds will fight more aggressively than ever to surface in your grass and survive. Weeds have the ability to grow much higher than grass. Weeds can grow six feet, while grass grows only seven inches.

Continuously mowing your lawn properly will keep any remaining weeds equal in height to the grass. Smothering the weed prevents it from receiving fresh air and they die three times faster.
Always prepare to mow your lawn after a heavy week of rain. Heavy rain dilutes weed treatment and encourages weed growth.
